Amazing church! I go every Wednesday and Sunday! I couldn't ask for a better church family
This place may have a few good Christian people, but they have NO control over their youth program (ironically called "Unleashed", which is fitting) The pastor there is the biggest disappointment with his hypocritical excuses for allowing his youth group to continually cause property damage without responsibility. To state this place is a joke is an understatement for what our youth really needs. He should be ashamed of himself.
This church is an amazing place to worship and get close to God. Even though the enemy sometimes try's to stop God's plan, nothing can stop the blessing God has put on it. They have the best youth group in the county in my opinion. It seems chaotic at times with so many youth coming, but seeing these youth truly worship makes it all worth it. The pastor of this church is awesome even with all the things he has to contend with. He not only our pastor but he's also a pastors pastor. The youth pastor does a tremendous job with all the youth that come there every week. God is moving in a great and mighty way. When that old serpent rises his ugly head the move of God moves even more explicitly. Awesome place, awesome move of God.
Newport Church of God is doing exactly what it means to be a Christian. They are showing Jesus to everyone they come in contact with. The people that go there come for a reason. Scripture says "When noise was abroad that Jesus was in the house the multitudes came." Anything that God ordains is gonna have attacks, deluded opinions, and all sorts of things thrown its way, because the enemy wants to stop what God is doing. They have an awesome youth group, that comes every week to worship the Lord, when they could be out doing things they shouldn't. I love this church and its pastor. The pastor sacrifices so much to do the work of the Lord. From late night phone calls, to staying hours in a hospital room with a dying loved one. To the most important thing of all...just being there for the people of God to do all in his power to help them. Thank You Newport Church of God for what you do.
