All in all I felt like I was putting them out, you know, asking questions about my animal's health and trying to schedule an appointment, they didn't seem to have time for that... you know, they are a very busy clinic... too busy, it seems, even for their patients.
Then I was told that they were a very busy clinic (again I have been taking 3 animals to this clinic for 3 years, so I am aware it's busy) and "sometimes my questions couldn't be answered IMMEDIATELY" (caps hers.)
I asked to have someone call me back after my 20 minute phone call (I was put on hold 4 times and talked to 2 different employees to have my questions answered, which I didn't mind, I was just hoping for a solution to my boy's hair mats)
While vacationing in the Gatlinburg area, my Miniature Schnauzer became sick. I chose the first vet clinic with good reviews and this was it. Although it was very late in the day, they agreed to see me as their last patient of the day. The entire staff was friendly and competent. Thanks Dr. LeMaster and staff for helping my Isobel get over her problems and letting us enjoy the rest of our vacation. Those folks were great.
When I finally spoke to Darcey (the clinic manager) she told me blood work was necessary for my senior cat to be sedated... I was still unclear why he would need to be sedated to be groomed at the vet, but not at the groomer, so I asked her. I was told that I had REQUESTED sedation... I did not... when I told her that, the story changed... now my boy needed to be sedated because he hadn't been shaved before, and therefore needed blood work first...
I have never been unsatisfied with the vets, vet techs, or the reception staff, but once your clinic manager talks to me like I am a problem, when all I am trying to do is have my friend's hair mats removed before they cause skin problems, I am hesitant about returning to your clinic.
I don't even know where to begin... I called in today with a simple question about having my pet groomed. I take good care of my pets, they are family members, but my tomcat is particularly furry, I normally brush him daily. I was out of town for 10 days and forgot to ask my cat sitter to brush him regularly. As i said he is particularly furry and during this short time developed mats in his fur. Since I have never had to deal with this before I, of course, called my vet with this question.
I was very patient when I called in, I waited on hold several times to have my questions answered, the only one that they never sufficiently answered was why is sedation required for grooming... then she asked if she could make an appointment to have his eye looked at, as I was trying to have the grooming scheduled with a medical appointment, which was never addressed in either call because of the grooming issue...
Anyway, I shaved the cat myself...no sedation... but it took me a while since I've never personally done it before. I had hoped to make it less stressful on him by having someone with experience, whom I trusted, do it, but at least the mats are gone.
Excellent facility!! Staffed with careing, knowledgeable and professional Dr.'s and staff. My most recent visit involved surgery on my dog. Dr. Ashley Gann did an awesome job, surgery was a success! I also had her teeth cleaned and was extremely happy. Charges were very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Gann and the entire staff! Thanks for taking such great care of my beloved pet!
Wasnt happy they gave us hidden charges though they did call and apologize still stinks when not expecting so much more money cause we would have waited if we knew but they did apologoze but wont give 5 star review cause of the hidden charges that we still had to pay.
They are sweet and caring. And handle my first babies with a kind heart. Love the staff there
I was told that the in house groomer was booked for the next 8 months and they weren't accepting new "clients"... now my pets have been patients for 3 years... but apparently the groomer at the clinic is a separate business, because I was told that being a patient at the hospital still meant they were "new clients" for grooming... then I was told the vet techs could shave my cat, but he would have to be sedated, and that would require blood work before hand since he is 7, and a Dr. would have to be present for the groom since he would have to be sedated... OR... I could just take him to another groomer, where, apparently, none of the blood work and sedation would be necessary!?!
