They have the best cheeseburger in town! Much better than Cracker Barrels!
This restaurant was recommended to us by a wonderful lady, Deana, who was so very helpful and gracious to us when we stopped at the Welcome Center. Deana not only helped us find lodging in Newport, but also told us about Lois's Country Kitchen which was right down the road from our hotel. Staff friendly, welcoming & attentive. Food tasty, flavorful, with large variety buffet. Price very good. Daily specials available. Local customers all seemed to know one another. Just a nice, homey feeling that made the entire dining experience upbeat & fun!
I have eaten here a few times. I can’t afford to eat out often. It was a real treat every time. Lois is an awesome woman and the others there have always been great too. The food was delicious. God bless you all and Merry Christmas.
This place has good service good food and I stop in often Try the Beef Tips yummy to die for. They have a very clean place lovely waitress .
I might add though, Lois needs to hire more staff! She had 2 waitresses running the ENTIRE restaurant! The only thing I saw Lois do was run the cash register, these 2 waitresses were taking orders, bringing out food, answering the phone, plus they had a large private party that they had to attend to. Needless to say, our waitress, Kay, was very flustered, she received a very good tip!
Tuesday and Friday are my favorite nights for their buffet. Meatloaf with lots of homemade veggies on Tuesday and seafood on Friday. Yummy.
