I was impartial about this place. It seems like they were remodeling or maybe just opening. There was no sign out front, so it was hard yo find. The lady at the counter was outside smoking when we walked in. She finished her cigarette and then came in to greet us. I'm a smoker, customers before cigarettes. The room wasn't bad but there were people just hanging around outside. It was odd. Once we figured out how to get to the pool, we were disappointed. It was obscenely hot in the pool area. The pool water was like bath water but the room had to be close to 90 degrees. The price i paid for the room wasn't bad. I can't be too upset over this. If I were to stay in this area again, i would probably check out one of the other hotels first before booking again.
We needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep before continuing on our trip. This was an economical choice. It fit the bill with a free breakfast as well. We were satisfied. The only negative was that I am not as comfortable with doors that open outside versus inside. That is simply the design of this hotel. I was also surprised to find the floors were not carpeted. Overall, we were satisfied with the value.
The location was fine. We only ever saw one employee. She was nice enough. The hotel looks dated and that's fine. What's not fine is the hotel being 100 degrees. The halls are not air conditioned at all. It was hotter inside the hotel than it was outside (it was around 94 out). It took hours for our room to cool down.
Very dirty poorly maintained rooms. Hair all between the sheets and on the pillows that were clearly not washed, bugs everywhere, pubic hairs on the toilet, walls, and shower. Awe full customers service we called for an hour straight before someone at the front desk picked up! Ordered cheese sticks and fried pickles, only got the cheese sticks and they were so over done there was no cheese in them. I woke up in the middle of the night to a bed bug crawling on me, when I squished it blood went everywhere it was so gross. We had to go up to he room and show the manager at which point he just really didn’t care. In he end they gave us most of our money back which I’m happy with since we did stay the night. Won’t be back.
Great value for our family's weekend vacation to Gaitlinburg. Our kids really enjoyed the pool and so did me and my husband! It's 9 feet at its deepest, clean and warm! Hot tub was hot and had strong jets. Our room was quaint and clean- fridge and microwave. And the breakfast was clean and good! Little hot bar, and a waffle maker :) I'm so happy with our stay price was right! Service was great too :) the owners said they are even getting new beds/bedding /furniture and an arcade room! We can't wait to see when we come back!
